Summertime Pet Safety Tips

Summertime is a great time to get outside and enjoy the sunshine with your pet. But with the heat of summer comes an increased risk of heat-related illnesses and other safety concerns. As a responsible pet owner, it's important to be aware of the potential hazards and take the necessary steps to ensure your pet's safety. Here are some tips to keep your pet safe during the warmer months.

To ensure your dog doesn’t get heat stroke, make sure to always check the ground, especially asphalt, go for walks in the early or late day to avoid peak heat times, limit excessive exercising, and provide extra water to keep them hydrated.

This is why leaving dogs in cars is so dangerous! Leaving dogs in any spaces where they are trapped without access to cooler air or water can lead to exhaustion and heat stroke very quickly.
